Biking through 5th Avenue, Times Square, Broadway, Grand Central Terminal, the U.N. building and Queensboro (59th Street) Bridge a few hours after Hurricane Irene passed by Manhattan.

Originally made in September of 2004, this video made a brief appearance on YouTube before being pulled due to the U2 song. Since Warner music has again allowed U2 songs to appear on YouTube, the video is back.
The video was later used in our training department and shown at 'career days' around the country. It depicts a typical three-day trip from the perspective of the co-pilot.
Best watched in HD. Blogged about this trip here: http://bit.ly/9RYc4f
Flew many flights with Captain Frank, and this is my way of paying him back. Come along with us for Frank's retirement flight from Boston to Paris and back. Look at the blog post I wrote about this trip here: http://bit.ly/9RYc4f
For an "Economy" seat, this is pretty slick.
Air New Zealand announced an entirely new concept for their Premium Economy seats. Here's their briefing at a press event this week in Auckland, New Zealand
Air New Zealand has brought beds to economy on their new 777-300 and 787.
CEO Rob Fyfe and Project Manager Ed Sims briefed the crowds on Tuesdays event in Auckland, and demonstrated what makes the Skycouch economy seats so remarkable, and also showed us one of the designs that were rejected after nearly making the cut.
Sometimes the life of a pilot can have advantages. Like being able to jump to the front of the line. As a pilot, I wanted to point out these benefits to my daughters, so I picked up a Playmobil Security Checkpoint and filmed this little video for them. The view from the cockpit at 33,000 feet over the Greenland Ice Cap. We don't get to see it this clear very often, and it's rare to be this far north on the North Atlantic Track system.

After a beautiful sunset followed by some static on the windscreen, we arrived over the Ockham VOR near Guildford in England just as the sun was coming up. Some of the holding scenes are sped up. Enjoy the view.
Music is "Shetland," a stock track in iMovie.

In addition to a solar reflective coating to keep the cockpit cool, a thin-film gold coating is used as an anti-fog device, eliminating the need for blowing air to defog the front windows. A PPG representative explains.
Just some raw footage of a sunrise. No music. Just the sounds and view from the cockpit. The other pilot didn't realize I was filming it, he thought I was taking a few still shots. So you get some candid comments, too.
Flight was from Boston to Paris.

We managed to visit with the creators of the new electrically dim-able window shades. We were shocked to see what a range in brightness they have.
Level at 24,000 while flying to Boston we had a great opportunity to witness the clouds below us lit up by the sunset. A level-off right at the cloud tops doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it's memorable.
