Lakeside Village, an Immanuel community, has a message for seniors: you're never too old to start an exercise program. That was the message at the Senior Health and Fitness Day. More than 300 people were on hand to talk to experts on the benefits of diet and exercise at any age. And one resident takes that advice to heart.

Immanuel Communities rolled out the red carpet for Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger, who took the stage recently at Trinity Family Life Center to share his inspirational message of overcoming obstacles, hurdles and setbacks to realize a dream of playing college football for Notre Dame. His story inspired the hit movie that bears his name and gave residents and staff the inspiration to dream dreams.

Trinity Village went cajun to celebrate Fat Tuesday. There were beads, masks, creole food and plenty of spirits for residents to enjoy. The Madsen Cervey Duo also helped bring the Carnival atmosphere to life.
Lakeside Village melts away winter blues by turning up the thermostat and hosting a Hawaiian Luau. Residents and guests dress in grass skirts and flower leis and relax in a tropical paradise while sipping on Pina Coladas and listening to the sounds of a Ukulele band. Along with dancing the hula, they also enjoy a Polynesian buffet featuring food from the islands. Aloha.
Immanuel Village residents are giving the gift of song to friends and the community through the Chime and Song Choirs. Directed by Erna Clanton, at 89-years-old, she says its good for the body, mind and spirit.
Pacific Springs Village hosted a Christmas party for their residents. The theme of the event is White Christmas and residents shared some great memories.
The Landing at Williamsburg was transformed into German Beer hall for Oktoberfest. Residents dined on traditional German foods including pretzels, bratwurst and sauerkraut. They also danced to polka music. Even staff got in on the fun, wearing traditional green Tyrolean hats and lederhosen.
Lakeside Village brings the sights, sounds, taste and culture of Mexico to its residents. The Mexican Fiesta treated everyone to south-of-the-border favorites including a Mariachi band, burritos and of course Margaritas, Olé!
