The Landing resident Pete Pettey has been a music lover all of his life and has enjoyed his player piano for more than 50 years. In fact, he has more than 200 rolls of music--all of them, he's played! Here is unique story of how he came to own the piano in the first place.

The Landing at Williamsburg was transformed into German Beer hall for Oktoberfest. Residents dined on traditional German foods including pretzels, bratwurst and sauerkraut. They also danced to polka music. Even staff got in on the fun, wearing traditional green Tyrolean hats and lederhosen.

His story inspired the hit movie that bears his name and gave residents and staff the inspiration to dream dreams.
