Very easy process, log in with mobile, and go to /private/var/mobile/ Library/SMS and copy over sms.db. If you you biteSMS go to /private/var/mobile/ Library/biteSMS and copy biteSMS.db. To put it back after a restore go to same location with mobile and place your file in.
