Filmed this this afternoon & saw a few mad people waiting on the the train to finish switching in the yard. People don't realize where their stuff comes from! Trains & trucks!
"EMD Thunder On The Layout"
A combo of MEC / HLCX GP38's running the grade in notch 8 up front pulling their guts out, and a very dirty MEC 263 pushing the train as hard as she can at the rear of the consist!
Yes 263 was actually getting a pretty good workout as you can hear from the prime mover.
Testing out my customized & weathered Maine central RR Atlas RS-11 #802 with an MRC "Sounder" sound decoder, & working ditch lights. Sounds pretty darn good (& loud) for a budget sound decoder!
More layout fun! MEC Alco RS-11 #802 takes a few passes around the layout. The HO scale version of 802 is still in service on this layout, even though the real 802 is long gone.
What better way to spend April fools day than working on a model railroad! Thought I'd change things up a bit, & add some tunes into the mix. Let me now how you like it if you can.
MEC 258, 263, 252, HLCX 3805, & MEC 256 haul a heavy BC2 mixed freight Eastbound up the Calais branch for it's many customers along the route. Just listen to those 16-645E's roaring by on the grade out of the Cherryfield yard main line.
A "what-if" Guilford or Pan Am Railways never existed, rendition of what Maine Central might possibly look like today if they were'nt bought out by Timothy Mellon in the mid-80's.
Lots of action packed into a 4x8' sheet of plywood! More cool MEC, & BAR stuff showed up, with more on the way, which means there's more cool CSX, NS, BNSF, WSOR, SP, & CP stuff for sale! PM me for details if you see anything that's not MEC, Maine Eastern, or BAR that you may be interested in... I'll let you know if it's for sale or not.
Bangor & Aroostook GP7 #69 finishing up a switching job at northern maine junction so the #49 can take the "Blueberry Land Special" out on a special employee appreciation day excursion.
New Brunswick southern cabooses made by Rapido trains. These have interior lights and EOT lights on both ends! They both look exactly like the real deal, & roll great too!
Nothing says "Americana" better than a big consist lashed up to Diesel, or steam powered locomotives. This is part 3 in a series of "The best of Railroads Across Maine & More". Lash It Up! A tribute to all the North American Railroad workers, and their trains across the land. Enjoy!
Sneak peek of an upcoming video featuring icy rails, & a GP38-3 desperately looking for some traction! Sanders on!
Stay tuned folks! The video is on the way.
